External Chat is akin to a Partnership platform that is the hub of cross-DAO communication. The external Chat allows DAO's to connect, and have a single source of truth for Partnerships and Collaborations across the ecosystem, while maintaining the highest level of privacy and security through private key encryption. More information on Message encryption can be seen in the sub-section.
One of the biggest issues in DAO communication is the prevalence of misrepresentation. Validating honest outreach is often difficult and results in a re-occuring security concern for DAO contributors. Motherboards external chat sets the groundwork for a Token Curated Registry (TCR) where DAO contributors are able to ensure that a message has indeed originated from a validated DAO. The introduction of our TCR and more information of the implementation schedule will be available closer to our V1 launch.
